This pommel is fixed onto the frame of the chair and can be removed for transfers. With two adjustable pads, the pommel prevents the user's knees from coming together as a result of hip adduction. Strong hip adduction can cause pressure build-up between the user’s legs. The pommel can also be useful to gain access to clean when the user is showering.
