Sedburgh Leisure Centre gets a Changing Places toilet

Working with the architect and the contractor, Wealden Rehab designed and delivered this full-spec Changing Places facility

World-class facilities

Bradford Council has replaced an ageing facility with the all-new Sedburgh Leisure Centre at a cost of around £17.5 million.

Working with the architect to ensure compliance of the space with British Standards and Changing Places guidelines, we designed the layout and fixing detail of the equipment within this space adjacent to the pool.

The following equipment has been supplied/installed:

  • GoLift 700 ceiling hoist, to an XY track system
  • Premium 200 nursing bench
  • PLUS powered basin bracket
  • Folding support rails
  • Fixed grab rails
  • 4 panel mobile Privacy Screen

Having completed the installation, we then assisted the contractor with the handover of the room, with a training session for the staff

“It is an extremely flexible space. There are top of the line disabled toilets, with adjustable height sinks, and changing facilities. There are great facilities for people with disabilities, they really are an exemplar standard.” John Coulton, Sports Facilities Manager.
