The RAZ Moulded Seat unit is our customers most popular choice when specifying a RAZ Shower commode chair.
The Moulded Seat is injection moulded around a solid seat base, providing a solid-skin impervious seat with the comfort of aerated polyurethane foam. Offering unrivalled contouring and shaping to provide postural support and pressure relief, the Moulded Seat module is available in several configurations making it easy to choose the right seat.
400mm and 470mm deep versions and either open or bridged front are available and come complete with commode-pan brackets
Recent improvements include the application of a gentle texture to the seat surface. This has several benefits:
- Reducing 'skin grip' when exiting the chair - there's nothing more annoying than being stuck to the seat top when you trying to slide sideways
- Improving grip - reducing even further the opportunity for the user to slide forwards when wet and soapy
- Improving seat-top softness - the texture has the effect of slightly softening the uppermost surface of the seat, providing even more comfort whilst preserving stability and feedback which is required when a user is carrying out a sliding side transfer
The Moulded Seat still retains its headline feature of IPAS - the ability to slide the seat forwards and backwards by up to 50mm. This adjustment is critical to positioning the aperture in the correct place for a user, and ensuring they can sit on the seat with stability with protection for the most vulnerable of tissue.
