For over 20 years, Wealden Rehab has specialised in bathing, hygiene, and care equipment for healthcare providers across the UK. But when challenges arise, we adapt. Right now, with many hospitals and care teams facing uncertainty around essential supplies, we’re stepping up to ensure patients can continue to leave hospital fully equipped for a safe and smooth recovery at home.

Responding to supply chain disruptions
The recent news of NRS Healthcare entering liquidation has created understandable concerns among commissioners in hospitals, Occupational Therapists and care providers who rely on their products every day. While NRS prioritises safeguarding services during this period, supply gaps are inevitable, and the need for vital equipment hasn’t slowed down.
Wealden Rehab have already been working closely with Kent County Council commissioners and other healthcare partners to provide an alternative supply chain. This includes everyday essentials such as toilet seat raisers, support frames, commodes, perching stools, and more.
Experience when it matters most
This isn’t the first time Wealden Rehab have stepped in to meet urgent needs. During the pandemic, when hospitals across the country faced a sudden demand for hospital beds, we mobilised our supply networks to deliver quickly and cost-effectively. That experience has shaped our ability to respond swiftly in times of crisis.
A message from our Managing Director
Simon Campbell, Managing Director of Wealden Rehab, shares:
“We are deeply sorry to hear about NRS, having worked alongside them for many years. We can only imagine the stress their staff are going through during this time of liquidation. In the last week alone, we’ve been approached by hospital staff and Occupational Therapists in Kent and across the UK. All focused on the same goal; ensuring patients can leave hospital quickly, safely, and with the right support equipment in place.”
How we’re helping
Thanks to our strong supply connections across Europe and world-wide, we can source a wide range of care equipment and deliver it where it’s needed most. Our fully trained staff are based across the UK, ready to consult, negotiate, and deliver quickly.
And beyond everyday essentials, our CareSpaces division continues to provide ceiling track hoists, installations, and deinstallations -ensuring homes and care environments are equipped to meet patients’ long-term needs.
Looking ahead
We know these are unsettling times for healthcare providers, patients, and suppliers alike. Our aim is simple: to be a reliable partner when it matters most, helping hospitals, care teams, and patients navigate both short-term challenges and long-term care requirements.
If this development has impacted your supply chain or contracts, we are ready to step in as a reliable and experienced partner, offering continuity, quality, and national coverage.
