With an aperture seat, there is less surface area to spread out the amount of energy, meaning a toileting seat will always cause more pressure than any other chair.
It is also incredibly important to consider pressure relief when a client can take a long time to toilet or shower, as they will be sat in the same seat or position for a long period of time. Unlike a comfy chair where an alternating air cushion could be used a shower commode relies purely on the basics of the seat itself.

The RAZ comes with two different pressure relief options:
- Moulded Foam- injections moulded with gentle contours to support pelvis and an integral skin which is water-resistant, yet supple and comfortable.
- Visco Foam- Layer of memory foam for extra comfort and are hand0-upholstered with bi-elastic vinyl.
