Wealden Rehab recently delivered a full Changing Places facility on the site of the new Sedburgh Leisure Centre, near Bradford.
Working to Sport England guidelines, we worked with the architect and the main contractor to design and install this fantastic facility.
The Changing Places is accessible from the wet-side changing rooms and features a room-cover ceiling tracked hoist, a height-adjustable shower and changing table, a height adjustable basin, a WC situated in a peninsular position along with a mobile privacy screen.
Ben Campbell delivered training to the staff, who told him "We had a changing room with a hoist at the old leisure centre but it was much smaller and wasn't well designed. Having said that we had users come in every day to use the facility, so it's great to see we have invested in a Changing Places here"
The £17m new sports centre features a 25m, six lane swimming pool, 12m x 8m Activity Pool, studios, a gym, eight court sports hall and three outdoor pitches.
