1. 5-year frame warranty – including gas struts and tilt cables.
RAZ chairs are designed for maximum durability- in a wet environment, you need to protect against corrosion. As the chairs are built from 316-grade stainless steel they are ultra-robust and you don’t have to worry about rusting. Even small parts like washers, springs and staples are stainless.
We are so confident in the durability of the RAZ that a 5-year frame warranty is given with every chair- this reduces lifetime costs and creates peace of mind if on the rare occasion something may need to be checked over by an engineer.
2. Multi-adjustment within the standard chair creating more solutions for more users. This includes seat depth, seat height, armrest height, backrest angle, anterior tilt and a tension adjustable backrest
RAZ is designed to be highly adjustable, meeting a wide variety of needs without expensive accessories. As a result, you get greater support, easier showering and toileting at lower lifetime costs.
Due to the chairs adaptability, it not only works well in a multi-user environment but also is an ideal contract chair as it can be brought back into stock to be sent out to another client multiple times.
3. The frame design will provide support for users from 16” seat width up to a 21” seat width.
A RAZ AT frame can support a person from 16-21” seat width, again making the RAZ a great solution for multi-user environments and being able to be recycled for further users.
4. Pressure relief is prominent with the RAZ as the seat shape helps distribute pressure across the greater trochanters and femurs.
The ‘bowl’ of the seat cradles the pelvis and ischial tuberosities, giving the user balance and confidence. Ischial Pelvic Alignment System (IPAS) – adjusting the seat depth to achieve optimum aperture positioning and comfort.
For those with existing pressure issues, there is a Visco foam seat option which uses the standard moulded seat as its foundation with an added layer of pressure-relieving foam.
5. In-house training is provided for all prescribers within contract areas. This will give the skills and tools needed to carry out their own assessments and adjust parts of the chair.
When the RAZ is put on contract, Wealden Rehab provides focused and hands-on training with the product range. We understand some Occupational Therapists may not have prescribed the equipment before, but this training will give them confidence in carrying out their own assessments. Each session will go through the benefits of the chair and will end with a hands-on demonstration of the adjustments. Literature packs are provided to each OT who attends the training. The feedback from these courses is highly positive; below are some comments following training carried out for a recently won contract.
'Really enjoyed it thanks and looking forward to issuing my first RAZ!'
‘I particularly appreciated the professionalism of the trainers'
'Very focused valuable session.'
‘It is so helpful to have time to adjust equipment and become familiar with it'
‘Trainers very approachable and I won't hesitate to contact'
