A message of apology
I would like to sincerely apologise to anyone in our network who has received unsolicited emails from Wealden Rehab with the subject: ‘Access File’.
Yesterday we discovered that our email server had been hacked and that some contacts had been exposed. Within 2 hours of discovery, this had been shut down, but in the intervening period, a large number of spam emails had been sent through our server.
We take the security of your information very seriously and invest large amounts of money to ensure such information stays safe. As a result of this incident, we are re-evaluating the security of our digital assets and will be introducing further layers of security to ensure that we are better protected than before.
I would like to express my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. I am confident that we have bolstered our defences against future attacks of this kind.
Advice for those who have received the affected email:
• If you have not done so already, please permanently delete the email from your computer
• If you have clicked on the link within the email, please have your computer checked for resultant virus damage.
If you have any questions or concerns relating to this incident, please don’t hesitate to contact me,
Wealden Rehab Ltd
